Loss Event: Fire and Water Damage

The Situation:

There was a fire in one unit that caused smoke damage throughout the unit, as well as the connected hallway. In addition to the fire loss, Wolgast performed repairs on a previous water loss in a separate unit on the property.

Wolgast reached out to Rivertrail management after hearing of the loss and Rivertrail was impressed with our promise to return the property to it’s normal condition.

Our Solution:

We prepared estimates for repairs on both losses and worked with their insurance company to determine a cost of repairs. The scope of work was set as light demolition of the fire unit, and then reconstruction would include re-installing trim and doors, drywalling, flooring and carpet installation, and painting the finished interior.

There would be a final clean of the unit and the connected hallway, as well as ozoning of the unit to remove any smoke odors. The water damaged unit needed drywalling and painting done, and some carpet re-laying.

Management of multiple medium sized projects in one location, under a time requirement to allow tenants to move back into the units.

The Result:

We completed the units well within the established time frame that allowed them to be put back onto the market. We also did work outside the scope to ensure the units were satisfactory to management.

We completed the project in 30 days, and on budget. Management was so pleased with our performance, we were hired to do additional work for them.
